The Restaurant

Typical Tuscan Cuisine and “zero Kilometer” ingredients

Hotel/Restaurant Margherita is located in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines in the area of Montepiano, in the province of Prato in the region of Tuscany. Immersed in the greenery of nature, it is easily accessible and is equipped with a car park. Apart from providing catering and breakfast services for the Hotel guests, the restaurant also operates independently and separately from the rest of the Hotel. The access for non-hotel guests who are interested only in the restaurant or in attending ceremonies and receptions is therefore also guaranteed. The rooms are composed of the main room, and close by a room with a beautiful view. These two rooms provide a combined capacity of 150 seats.
The hotel is particularly known in the field of catering services and the kitchen staff is highly specialized in the creation and preparation of typical Tuscan-Emilian traditional dishes.

Every dish, from first courses to desserts, are prepared in our restaurant.

It is also our tradition to prepare dishes with porcini and prugnoli mushrooms, with truffles, grilled meat-based dishes and game (wild boar, roe deer) cooked in the traditional way. Every weekend the “Pizzeria” section gets going with wood-fired oven baked pizzas. During the “season of good weather” (spring and summer), we offer full catering services on request in the adjacent open park , ideal for whoever desires to add a “touch” of nature to their receptions and ceremonies. The Menù

The cuisine of the restaurant at Hotel Margherita is based on traditional Tuscan-Emilian cooking, innovating on but at the same time maintaning traditional dishes.

It is our custom to source the best quality in our food products aiming to use short chain foods and free range livestock reared without the use of antibiotics, like in the grilled chicken we prepare.

Here are some of the many specialties we offer:

“Zero kilometer” potato tortelli with potatoes (cultivated on the premises), delicate lasagne with prugnoli mushrooms, tagliatelle pasta with truffles, tagliatelle pasta with traditional meat sauce or with wild boar sauce, maltagliati pasta made with chestnut flour,  green lasagne with meat sauce, cuts of beef, grilled Florentine steak, fried chicken, porcini mushrooms and mixed vegetables and many other specialties…

We also specialize in the preparation of desserts and buffets for ceremonies. Every day we bake homemade bread.
